Nikola Venglarova
I was just 3 years old when I entered a complex new environment where everything seemed to be in constant motion. After arriving to the United States from a small country called Slovakia in Eastern Europe, I found myself in constant thought; taking in the world around me in a very detailed visual manner. Looking at every detail of the new yet so extraordinary city around me. It was when I was just 3 that I came to a realization of my attention to detail and my ability to see the most minuet details and see them in a artistic form.
My journey in the art world was a decision that came through time. It almost seemed like a never ending realization. Throughout my journey as a graphic design undergraduate student I have come to the discernment that design is a path that constantly brings forward new ideas. Where ever you are you are taking in the environment around you; from simple objects, to life events that may seem to have nothing to do with design. All these things manifest themselves into ideas that can be infused into my work.
Design has become not just something I strive to do but has became a way of life. There is a certain discipline to graphic design that makes you grow each step of the way. It allows you to produce something new; speak to the world with design. Design is everywhere.
This freedom of expression in this field and its ability to have a profound impact on a way a person thinks or sees the world around them is inspiring. Inspiration is everywhere you want it to be. It is manifested through the soul and brought to life in color, words, shapes and textures.
Design was my choice , is my choice and will always be my choice.
